Valentine Photo Craft Ideas
Valentine's Day is celebrated among couples, friends and family members, often with gift exchanges and festive decorations. Create handmade photo crafts on Valentine's Day to personalize your decorations or present as a sentimental gift.
Photo Pillowcase
Choose a photo of you and your Valentine, and then order it on a photo pillowcase from a screen-printing company or photo specialty shop. Using a needle and thread, sew beads that match the color of your eyes on the pillowcase along with a white ruffle border along the edge. You may choose to order a variety of photo pillowcases to create a full assortment for your bed or couch.
Custom Candy
Using your inkjet printer and specialty sticker paper, you can easily create custom Valentine candies with personal photos. Avery Sticker Project Paper is ideal because it allows you to create photos of many sizes and shapes. First, purchase a bag of Hershey's Kisses. Measure the diameter of the base of the candy. Next, print your photos on the sticker paper in same size as the base. Cut out each photo in the shape of a circle and stick them on the bottoms of the candies.
Heart Collage
Use a large piece of red construction paper to cut out the shape of a heart. Next, find an old newspaper or magazine and cut words from it that represent Valentine's Day, such as love, friendship or Valentine, and paste these on the heart, followed by your photos. If you are concerned about ruining your pictures, you may copy each photo before adding it to the collage. However, using real photos makes a sturdier creation. Finally, mount the collage in a large photo frame to preserve the design.
