How to Make a Simple Archery Bow
Do your kids or anyone wish to get a bow+arrow but for free by themselves? This guide will show you how to make one!
Find a good bow. Look inside your park, backyard, woods, etc. for a good, sturdy stick with a curved shape and where the top and bottom are identical. It takes maybe 20 minutes to find a good stick unless you're lucky
Now, stretch out your goggle strap. It will act as the bow string. I've tried using rubber bands tied together, and that works terribly. Goggle straps don't snap and they're durable and stretch well. You may wnat to cut slits on the top and the bottom of the stick so that the goggle strap comfortably fits on. Apply some masking tape for maximum durability. Make sure that it is not too stretchy, or else your arrows cannot go far.
Now it's time to get arrows. Don't get arrows that are too long, or else it will not go far. Short arrows won't go far either. Wooden arrows work best with this kind of bow. If you aren't buying them (though sporting goods stores have the best arrows), you may want to cut slits on the end so that you can fire the arrow. Sharpen the end so that it glides through the air better.
Aim, and fire! This bow could fire arrows well over my backyard!
